Week 11 2022 Summer Miles

 

Sometimes the Summer just goes by so fast!  We wish the summer could last much longer, but it is also nice to finally be able to put all the WORK together and now start fine tuning and PURSUING the goals/dreams that we have thought about throughout the summer!  

I will share a couple of items about the blog and then a quick thought for the week.

About the blog: You will notice that the Team Summer blog is very simple.  There are a few links on the left side for you to click on slide show for parents/students if you can't make the parent mtg, etc.).  Please share this with your parents so they know what is going on! 

ANNOUNCEMENTS, please read these. Announcements will be uploaded each Sunday.  Simply click on it and get the schedule and important items for the week.  Then hit the back button and read the post!  Should be easy to follow and help you throughout the season.

Thought for the week!  We understand that in a perfect world, we would all be excited about giving 100% to not just running but to everything that matters to us!  It sometimes seems impossible to give more than we already are, and the truth is, we are not asking you to necessarily give more, BUT TO RECOGNIZE THAT WE CAN DO BETTER AT GIVING OUR BEST!  It doesn't matter what your REASON is for being here, on this Team, whether you will be a Varsity runner or not, or for even the social reasons...we have the chance to be a part of something that really matters! 

Yes, Running can matter more than we think!  It is so applicable to the very important things in life and will change your life beyond what any of you think...if you let it!  The problem sometimes is that we don't let it!  We get in the way by making excuses or don't give like we should (especially on days we struggle), even possibly we don't recognize the distractions that get in the way of the "LITTLE THINGS" that allow us to make that difference (but you will never know because you got distracted). 

Ask yourself if you really want to see what you can do this season!  Don't be scared or intimidated by the discomfort you WILL feel, for that is the ONLY WAY Greatness happens! Instead, EMBRACE the Chance to overcome what most people usually don't even think about because it is hard sometimes to PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE!  We are in this TOGETHER!  If everyone on this Team will help each other, look out for each other, encourage each other, lift one another...then it WILL BE UNFORGETTABLE!  

Here we go...it has Begun!
