Great Job this PAST week! Keep up the GREAT work!!
July 3rd,
2020, we had our 1st BCCR Run. What a great turn out! PLEASE try and
make it to the next BCCR run on Friday July 10th.
Remember we
have the 2nd BCCR (Big Cottonwood Canyon Run) this Friday. Those that
went on the 3rd of July know the Course to run.
Times for
the BCCR run are; Boy’s under 15 minutes, Girl’s under 19 minutes. (This is the
Goal! these are also the times to run under to receive a FREE BCCR shirt!!)

I will not
be here on Tuesday through Friday (Family reunion in Colorado). PLEASE help each other and make it happen
this week. Take care of each other! Be patient! Be smart and hydrate, sleep,
eat better 😊 Be there for each other!
Just a reminder
to ALL of you. HARC (High altitude Running Camp) considerations will be
happening very soon. (checking to see if you are up to date and have the miles)
Because of the current situation with the Virus. In order to make HARC happen, there
will be a few extra steps that must be taken to insure everyone’s safety and
ability to go. Here is your kindly reminder of what is necessary to go to HARC.
You ALL need
to be putting on your miles on the Google Document on this blog entitled 2020
Summer Miles. It is in the LINKS section. PLEASE update your miles. In order to
be considered for (HARC). You MUST be on track for 500 miles for the Summer (Memorial
Day and Labor Day) on the 2020 Summer Miles Google Document you should have 216
Miles by today the End of week 6 in order to be considered for HARC.
6 weeks X 36
Miles = 216 Miles. To be considered not guaranteed a
spot.
Not having
your miles updated on the BLOG will automatically take you out of the running
for HARC…it doesn’t matter what level of runner you are or if you have run the miles.
As Coaches, we can’t see the miles because they are not on the BLOG. Don’t assume
that you get to go unless we see that the first step is done. (Putting your
miles on the BLOG)
Exceptions to
the miles we should already be aware about (injuries and such)
If you get
an invitation your parents (mom, dad, Guardian) must be aware of the possibility
of you going, so if you get the invitation you will already know that they are
OK with it.
HARC will be
during the Day only NO Overnight.
HARC is Aug
3-6 There will be a ZOOM meeting for ALL those invited to HARC on Monday July 6th.
2020 at 8PM an invitation will be sent out to those qualified for HARC.
Transportation-
Due to the circumstances, we as Coaches CANNOT transport to the HOME BASE
(camp) up big cottonwood. We also CANNOT transport you to and from HOME BASE
(Camp) to the runs each day. (You must line up Transportation to get there and
back) This will be discussed in detail with those invited to HARC.
Not everyone
on the TEAM is able to go to HARC. This is an amazing opportunity that MUST be
earned. Earned buy doing the things to get there.
HARC is
about rewarding, NOT punishing those who aren’t quite ready for the experience.
This aspect matters to US because EVERYONE on this TEAM matters to US!
You are ALL doing some amazing things this Summer! As Coaches' some of our greatest moments are seeing you CHALLENGE yourselves., and seeing the growth, improvements and hopefully you are feeling the difference that the summers miles is having on you and your performance.
We SEE you! WE are PROUD of you! We are EXCITED for what will RESULT in all your efforts this Summer! EFFORT!! Define your Success! Have you given it ALL your Effort and your ALL? No Regrets!!
